Provide Silo Managers at Armbruster with basic management skills coaching, for a team including new and more senior managers.
Make this coaching exercise an opportunity for sharing individual management practices and difficulties and for pooling management tools to move forward as a team.
Using AIDA personality tests, MG Consultants assessed the management potential of each participant prior to the coaching exercise. A 45-minute telephone interview was organised for each participant. This was used as the starting point for raising collective awareness and laying down the ground rules for future team meetings and management practices.
This collaborative method proved to be both motivational and stimulating for the whole team. It laid the ground rules for management practices, which the managers have since adopted and followed. Thanks to the coaching process, the relationship between managers and employees has improved.
