The company’s CEO was leaving to take up an executive role in another cooperative after 20 years with Val’Limagne, and needed to be replaced. The President of Val’Limagne contacted MG Consultants with a request to present the agency and its methods to the company’s selection committee, which included 5 members of the Board of Directors. Three different agencies were in the running for the assignment.
Our response was to gain a deeper understanding of the company’s corporate culture, its history and its future development strategy. We also studied the people around the table, in order to identify the candidate best suited to the cooperative’s corporate culture, its values and its ambitions for the future. Finally, to tackle this assignment, we formed a strong relationship with the selection committee, which was crucial for a successful outcome.
Having been chosen out of a possible 3 agencies, we spent half a day with the selection committee to gain a deeper understanding of the cooperative’s history, its strategies for the future, its business plan and the profile of its future CEO, including professional as well as soft skills, which were equally important.
Interviews were organised with the selection committee and a new CEO was selected. The candidate was hired in November 2019 and is enjoying his new role. He has made a good impression on the company (both with employees and the Board of Directors).
We systematically follow up on all our candidates during their trial period and beyond.
